Our Bid

San Francisco 2012 is proud of our Bid to bring the 2012 Olympic Games to the San Francisco Bay Area. Consistent with the United States Olympic Committee and International Olympic Committee's renewed commitments to openness and transparency throughout the Bid process, we have placed the contents of our Bid and Bid Addendum on our Web site, available to the public.

The Bid and Bid Addendum together total over 1,000 pages of documentation and plans for the 2012 Olympic Games in the San Francisco Bay Area. San Francisco 2012 is grateful to the hundreds of experts—in areas ranging from transportation and finance to security and sports experience—who committed so much valuable time and resources to develop our Bid.

San Francisco 2012 is the only U.S. Bid Committee to place the contents of our Bid and Bid Addendum on our Web site. We invite you to learn more about our Bid and plans by reading the original Bid (submitted June 2001) and Bid Addendum (submitted April 2002).

Note: In order to protect San Francisco 2012's key strategic insights and competitive advantages from being used by America's potential competitors for the 2012 Olympic Games, we have not provided our "International Strategies" and "Partnership" proposals—contained in our Bid Addendum—online. We are, however, happy to discuss the outlines of these proposals at any time. More information or summaries of these sections can be obtained by contacting San Francisco 2012 at 650.856.2234 or at info@basoc2012.org.
