Jenny Thompson is a five-time Olympic Gold medal winner, tying speedskater Bonnie Blair for the most Olympic medals won by an U.S. woman. Thompson is a 20 time U.S. National Champion and holds more career titles than any other active swimmer.
Her accomplishments range from five NCAA titles in 1993 alone, to three medals at the 1998 Goodwill Games. Thompson is also the world record-holder in the 100-meter and 50-meter butterfly (short course) events, and owns the fastest split in history in the 100-meter butterfly.
