Erica Stone is President of the American Himalayan Foundation, a non-profit organization that works in Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and with Tibetan refugees, building schools and hospitals, planting trees, restoring monasteries. She joined AHF as Executive Director in 1991. Prior to joining AHF, Ms. Stone was the Director of Consulting at WISE, an NGO that guided low-income women through business startups. Previous to WISE, she was the managing partner of Freshwater Films, Inc. and a field consultant for the Himalayan Rescue Association. Ms. Stone has traveled extensively throughout the Himalayan region for twenty-one years. She serves on the board of the International Campaign for Tibet, The Bridge Fund and the Fund for the Tiger.
Stone is also Director of Philanthropy at Blum Capital Partners and President of the Blum-Feinstein Family Foundation. She has trained in Taekwondo for twenty eight years, has a fifth degree black belt in and is head of JLAG Tae Kwon Do in Berkeley, a cooperative women's dojo.
Stone holds a BA and MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
