James A. Reuben is a founding member of Reuben & Alter. Reuben has been practicing law since 1976, concentrating on real estate, land use, construction, political and entertainment law. He was counsel to the Inaugural Committee for Mayor Willie L. Brown, Jr. and District Attorney Terence Hallihan.
Reuben received his B.A. from California State University, Northridge in 1968 and his J.D. from Golden Gate University in 1976. He is a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, member of the State Car of California, board member of the City Center District of San Francisco, and an advisory board member for the Ira and Leonore Gershwin Philanthropic Fund.
