Duncan Matteson has been in the investment business on the San Francisco Peninsula since 1959. In 1978, Matteson founded Matteson Investment Corporation to handle all of his personal development, acquisition and property management activities. In 1994, he founded Matteson Realty Services, Inc. and is chairman of Matteson Real Estate Equities, Inc.
Matteson has successfully acquired, developed, and managed several thousand high-quality apartment rental units throughout California, and has also been co-developer of numerous industrial and commercial office buildings in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.
Matteson is past chairman of the National Multi-Housing Council and is currently chairman of the Board of Mid-Peninsula Bank in Palo Alto and Chairman of Greater Bay Bancorp, a bank holding company for 10 local banks located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Stanford Heart Council at Stanford Medical Center, past vice chairman of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation and has served on two State Finance Committees for Governors George Deukemjian and Pete Wilson.
