Cheryl Levick was appointed as Director of Athletics for Santa Clara University in July 2000. She came to Santa Clara from Stanford University where she had been the Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman's Administrator for nine years, managing 33 varsity sports programs. She is responsible for coordinating all long-range plans for athletics, including NCAA certification, staffing, gender equity and sports programming. Levick also has an administrative oversight of all student-athlete services, including NCAA compliance, financial aid, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, academic services and recruiting.
In addition to her responsibilities as athletic director, Levick is Chair of the NCAA COmmittee on Women's Athletics, a member of the NCAA Management Council and on th San Jose Sports Authority Board of Directors. Levick has produced numerous presentations for a variey of audiences and was named one of the Top 25 Female Sports Executives by Street and Smith's SportsBusiness Journal for 1998 and 1999. She graduated with a B.S. from the University of Missouri, Columbia and a M.S. in athletic administration from Indiana University.
