Jan Elix has 30 years of experience in organizing and implementing sports programs for athletes with disabilities. Elix currently works for the City of San Jose Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services as a Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor.
She has served as a member of the WSUSA Board of Directors and previously served as the program director for the Far West Wheelchair Athletic Association where she organized wheelchair sports programs for athletes with physical disabilities in California, Arizona and Nevada. Jan currently acts as the Chair of the WSUSA Junior International Competition Committee.
Elix is a nationally registered and certified Recreation Therapist. She is a graduate of San Jose State University where she received a bachelor's of science degree in Recreation Administration/Therapeutics in 1981 and a masters of science degree in Recreation and Sports Management.
