As a member of the 1988 U.S. team, Nancy Ditz was the first American woman to complete the marathon in Seoul. Since 1982, Ditz has won numerous events including: Los Angeles Marathon (1986, 1987), U.S. National Marathon Championships (1985), San Francisco Marathon (1982), Oakland Marathon (1983) and the Examiner Bay to Breakers (1984).
Since the 1988 Olympics, Ditz has been a color commentator for NBC and CBS Sports. She has covered events such as the 1996 Olympic Marathon Trials, the 1988 and 1989 NCAA Track & Field Championships, and the 1994 Examiner Bay to Breakers.
