Michael Crowley begins another season as president of the Oakland Athletics after assuming the position on Sept. 28, 1998. He oversees all aspects of the A's franchise both on and off the field. A key figure in the A's resurgence as one of baseball's premier franchises, Crowley joined the Athletics organization in July of 1997 as vice president and chief financial officer.
He previously spent ten years with I.C.I. Paints/Fuller O'Brien Paints and three years with Price Waterhouse.
A native of Los Altos, the 38-year-old Crowley graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1985 with a degree in Business Administration. He earned his master's degree from Duke's Fuqua School of Business in 1992.
He resides in Cupertino with his wife Kathy and their children Meagan, Patrick and Paige.
