Don Briggs is a partner with the San Francisco office of KPMG LLP with 30 years of experience. His focus has been on entrepreneurial companies with an emphasis on the financial services and technology industries. His engagement experience includes valuations, due diligence assignments in connection with acquisitions, reorganizations, advising on securitization structures and traditional audit services for public and privately held companies.
Briggs founded the Private Business Advisory Services Practice that was dedicated to serving young growth companies from 1977 to 1988. Thereafter, he founded and ran the Corporate Finance Practice for Northern California and the Pacific Northwest from 1989 to 1994 and is now involved with entrepreneurial companies generally. He helped to found the San Francisco chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and the Association for Corporate Growth. He serves on or has served on several not-for-profit boards of community organizations and volunteers his efforts to support education and youth sports. He received his master's and bachelor degrees in accounting from the State University of New York and is a certified public accountant in both California and New York.
