BASOC & Bay Area Federation of Gay Games Leaders Team Up to Promote 2002 Gay Games, 2012 San Francisco Bay Area Olympic Games

Sara Waddell Lewinstein—Widow of Olympian & Gay Games Founder Tom Waddell—to Join Federation & BASOC Leaders for Announcement

San Francisco, CA: Bay Area leaders of the Federation of Gay Games and the Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee (BASOC)—the organization leading the Bay Area's bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games—will team up for a joint announcement at the San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center on October 2nd. Joining Federation and BASOC leaders will be Sara Waddell Lewinstein—widow of Olympian and Gay Games Founder Tom Waddell and Honorary Life Director of the Federation of Gay Games—and other Bay Area Olympians and Gay Games athletes. On October 12th in the Castro, BASOC and local Federation of Gay Games Boardmembers and volunteers will promote the upcoming 2002 Gay Games in Sydney and the San Francisco Bay Area's bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games.
