In his role as executive vice president – Corporate Development, Shuster is responsible for strategic growth and diversification of The PMI Group, Inc. Prior to assuming his current duties, Shuster served as senior vice president, treasurer and chief investment officer, where his responsibilities included investment portfolio management and interest rate risk strategy. He is the chairman of the Board of PMI Australia and serves on the Board of Directors of Fairbanks Capital Corporation, PMI Europe, Ltd., American Pioneer Title Insurance Company, Century Capital Partners II, Luther Burbank Financial Corporation and Luther Burbank Savings, RAM Reinsurance Ltd. (Bermuda), and the Security Analysts of San Francisco.
Before he joined PMI in 1995, Shuster was a Partner with Deloitte and Touche LLP were he had more than 16 years of professional experience. He holds a bachelor's of science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master's of business adminsitration degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
