John D. Goldman is Chairman of Willis Insurance Services of California, Inc., part of the Willis Group Holdings, a London-based brokerage, operating more than 300 offices in more than 100 countries with 13,000 associates. He was formerly CEO of Goldman Insurance Services/Risk Management, an insurance brokerage firm specializing in the development of customized commercial and personal insurance and risk management programs.
Active in community and philanthropic activities, Goldman serves as president of San Francisco's Jewish Community Federation, and as a board member of the San Francisco Symphony, Swarthmore College, the California Academy of Sciences and other local organizations.
He received a bachelor's of art degree from Swarthmore College and an master's in business administration from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
He lives in Atherton with his wife, Marcia, two children, Aaron, age 22 and Jessica, age 19, three cats and two dogs.
