Rosie Casals, Sportswoman, Inc.

Rosie Casals tasted fantastic success at a young age‚ breaking into the top singles world rankings at age 17 and staying in the top ranks during the 1960s and 1970s. She was a winner of 11 major titles on the women's professional tour and was a quarter-finalist or better in all major events. She holds 12 Grand Slam Doubles titles‚ five Wimbledon Doubles titles with Billie Jean King and two Mixed Doubles Titles with Ilie Nastase. She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1996 and was part of the 'Original Nine' who helped establish equality for women in tennis in the 1970s.

Casals now resides in Sausalito and is president of her own sports promotion company Sportswoman, Inc. She founded the company in 1982 in order to promote the 'Tennis Classics Tour' (for players 30 years and over who have won a Grand Slam Title or earned $1 million in career prize money). Casals still gets on the court for matches in the Senior Invitational at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.
