Kim Carlisle, Olympian

From 1976 to 1983, Carlisle was a member of more than 10 U.S. National Swimming Teams, including the 1979 Pan American and 1980 Olympic teams, and ranked as high as fourth in the world in the 100 meter backstroke. While attending Stanford University, Carlisle led the women's team to two national collegiate titles, won two individual NCAA crowns and was named Stanford's Female Athlete of the Year in 1982.

Carlisle is currently the co-founder and principal of a consulting firm that crafts creative identities and communicates strategic messages for a wide variety of companies and organizations via multiple mediums including advertisements, annual reports, articles, brochures, proposals and speeches.

Carlisle was instrumental in writing and editing the Bid document that was submitted to the U.S. Olympic Committee in December 2000.
