September 22, 2002—Officials trying to bring the 2012 Olympics to the Bay Area have posted their 700-plus-page bid proposal on their official Web site, www.basoc2012.com. The Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee is the first 2012 bid city to make its bid available to the public online. In August, Web site managers for hellskitchen.net posted New York's bid in full, but links to the bid have since been disabled on that site.
